1: Apply for exchange courses and create your individual study plan
Courses for exchange students
This pages provides information about the course offer for incoming exchange students at Tilburg University. Exchange students can choose courses from all Schools of Tilburg University. To avoid the disappointment of not being able to take your indicated courses, we advise you to read the regulations on this page closely, to critically assess each course, and to only select courses that match your specific academic background. In some cases, conditions apply that determine admission to the course.
If your university is an exchange partner of Tilburg University, you can apply for an exchange period via your own university. Once we have received your nomination from your home institution, we will invite you via email to complete Tilburg University's application procedure.
2: Arrange the following practical matters
Arranging your accommodation
Finding accommodation is one of the most important aspects to arrange before your arrival to the Netherlands. Please note that we do not own housing facilities and it is thus your own responsibility to find a room.
Our Immigration Team will guide you through the Dutch immigration procedure to ensure that you successfully arrange everything needed.
Arrange your insurances
When living in the Netherlands, you are required by law to have health and medical insurance. Make sure that you have the appropriate liability and travel insurance as well.
Open a Dutch bank account
In the Netherlands, payment is mostly done by a debit card. ABN AMRO's Student Package is free of charge for international students.
3: Participate in our introduction activities
During our Registration Days, we will welcome you and offer you a number of services to make sure you have a pleasant and a well prepared start in Tilburg.
Program Introduction Exchange
The mandatory program introduction exchange will give you the opportunity to meet your fellow students. Receive all the information you will need about your exchange program to have a successful start.
